Amandeep Hayer
Principal, Lawyer
Amandeep Hayer, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Calgary, Juris Doctorate in Canadian common law from the University of Windsor, Juris Doctorate in American law from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is the principal lawyer at Hayer Law, a boutique Canadian immigration law firm in the Vancouver area of British Columbia.
He has been practicing in exclusively in Canadian immigration and citizenship law since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2015. He was later called to the British Columbia Bar and the Colorado State Bar. Amandeep has been an active member of the Canadian Bar Association where he serves as an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association of British Columbia’s Immigration Law Section.
He has been recognized for his knowledge on issues involving Canadian citizenship by descent. He is a co-author of the book Maintaining Permanent Residence Status and Acquiring Citizenship, part of Emond’s Immigration Law Series. Amandeep has also appeared on behalf of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Immigration Law Section as a witness before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration and the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology on legislation related to Lost Canadians and citizenship by descent.
Prabhjot Gill
Articled Student
Prabhjot holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Sociology from Simon Fraser University and a Juris Doctorate from Bond University in Australia, where she graduated with distinction. Prabhjot Is inspired by a commitment to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal systems. What drives her the most is the opportunity to see her hard work directly impact and improve someone’s life. Beyond her legal practice, Prabhjot volunteers with NGOs, supporting humanitarian efforts and community outreach programs. Prabhjot is passionate about promoting fairness, compassion, and access to justice within Canada’s legal system and looks forward to being called to the British Columbia Bar in September 2026.
Arshmeet Multani
Legal Assistant
Arshmeet is completing a Bachelor of Legal Studies Degree at Capilano University. Her ability to communicate in both English and French allows her to support clients more extensively throughout their immigration and citizenship journeys. Arshmeet is driven by her passion to make legal services more accessible and inclusive across all languages and cultures. Outside of the office, she enjoys travelling to experience new cultures, finding inspiration in music, and unwinding with a good book.
Jaskaran Dhinsa
Legal Assistant
Jaskaran is completing a Bachelor of Legal Studies at Capilano University, building a strong foundation in legal research, procedure, and critical analysis. She recently completed a work placement at a Magistrates’ Court in England, where she gained valuable knowledge on court procedures, the interactions between counsel, and the justice system as a whole. Drawn to law for its analytical and problem-solving nature, Jaskaran also enjoys exploring new and developing areas of the field. In her free time, Jaskaran can often be found reading, experimenting with new baking recipes, or spending time with her family.
Gurveer Chattu
Administrative Assistant
Gurveer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of the Fraser Valley and later completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leicester. With a strong academic foundation in both human behavior and legal studies, she is dedicated to guiding people through the justice system with a commitment to fairness, due process, and the rule of law. She has volunteered with homeless individuals and women’s shelters, deepening her understanding of the systemic barriers faced by vulnerable communities. Gurveer also obtained first-hand experience at various courts in Vancouver, BC, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, further strengthening her practical insight into the legal system. Outside of the office, Gurveer enjoys staying active through sports, spending time outdoors, playing video games, and unwinding with her family and friends.
