Express Entry Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

We strongly believe that understanding the qualifying criteria and procedures for Canada’s Express Entry system is critical for anyone intending to immigrate to Canada. Candidates must meet the minimal requirements to be eligible for the Express Entry pool, which generally includes the following:

  1. Moderate proficiency in English/French
  2. Skilled work experience
  3. Post-secondary education
  4. Meeting federal program requirements

Comprehensive Ranking System Explained

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) plays a pivotal role in the Express Entry process, serving as a crucial tool to assess and rank candidates based on age, education, and language proficiency. The maximum CRS score is 1200. Those with the best score are invited to apply for permanent residency (ITA). The pool, qualifications, and invites all influence the score. Applicants have 60 days after getting an ITA to submit an online application.
